Arrived with bruĆ Clive at Bala about 11.00 am to find Radical Rob in another windsurfers van. Neither of them looked like they were going out as the whole of Bala was WhitehorseĆs.

Rigged up small with lots of outhaul and downhaul, but conditions did look a bit mad. First run out into the middle of the lake before a big wipe out - then i realised just how cold it was. Struggled to get back to the town beach with hand grip beginning to fail. After that just stayed close in keeping hands out of the water.

Not a bad session but it would be nice to have the confidence to get hook in and in the straps - but maybe later this year. Radical Rob eventually decided to go out and fairplay he was going for it. Only slight down side was when Clive's sail met with the top of my mast and put a small hole in it - still is a very old sail.
